Presley LOVES to read! She has some books that are favorites and she has the pictures and everything memorized. This is one of her favorite books. I ask her where the tounge is in the end and she flips through and finds the page with it :)

Refinishing our Bathroom Cabinets / Stair Banister

When we bought this house we weren't exactly in love with the color of the cabinets/cupboards in the house. After 9 months of looking at these old worn cabinets we decided to try to change them up. I did a lot of researching on the internet and Pinterest and finally decided on what product I wanted to try. I also found a very helpful tutorial here.

It ended up being a little more time consuming than I thought it would be. I had hoped that I could cut the time in between coats, but I found out it just won't work if you do.

There is some prep time as well which wasn't exactly fun. (removing all front pieces, cleaning all the dirt and oils off, sanding, wiping off, taping off the bathroom walls/floor/counters etc.)

Here is the finished bathroom though!! It was all worth it! There is a 100% improvement from the old cabinets!

After being SOOOOO happy with the results in our bathroom, we decided to tackle the stair banister as well......

I thought it would be much easier than the bathroom since we didn't have to take anything apart or worry about flipping things over to both sides. BUT I didn't take into account the fact that each spindle on the stinking thing had little grooves and very hard to reach spots. And we also had to be very careful and not spill anything on the carpet.

We did get it done though, and of course we are very happy with the end result here as well!

 I was SO happy to get the stairs done! My finger nails were all broken and sore from trying to fit in all of the little spaces. We took about 5 seconds to admire it before Josh stated how he couldn't wait to do the kitchen cabinets!! UGH!! I need a break!!

25 Weeks with Baby #2

Here is a belly shot comparison from last pregnancy and this pregnancy. I have been feeling SO heavy in my belly these past several weeks! And this little guy moves like crazy and has some really strong kicks! I don't remember Presley feeling this strong, but I could be wrong.

Hand Made Quiet Book

Geesh! I thought I would never get this thing done!! I started working on a "quiet book" for Presley back in August of 2012 and was doing everything by hand. Drawing my own patterns, hand cutting and sewing everything...... It was a very slow process. And then I got the shock/surprise of finding out I was pregnant, and I completely forgot about this book. (well I didn't forget, I just couldn't think about pulling it all out and working on it)

 So for 5 months it just sat there in my craft room, until I finally got the courage to pull it out and try to get it done. Presley inspired me to try again by being very restless and hard to entertain at church.

 I decided to give myself a bit of break and used my sewing machine on the edges of the pages. But most everything was sewn by hand.

 Josh hated when I would work on this thing because I had to have so many different crafty items out and it made a big mess.

 In the end I am very happy with how it turned out! I had a hard time letting Presley play with it because I spent so much time making it, I was worried she would destroy it right away lol.

It's survived so far so that's good!

 I love my little animals I made! I think the elephant is super cute!!

 I feel so relieved that it's done! And I now know how hard and time consuming it is so I doubt I will ever try to attempt to make another, lol. I hope Presley appreciates it! ;)

Silly Faces

 Because I get to stay at home with Presley, we get to spend a lot of time entertaining ourselves and each other. We take lots of pictures to send to daddy, this is a stream of some we took. She is good at making faces now :)
