Talent{less}

I've never considered myself to be very talented... at anything really. Every time there would be a talent show or someone asking for examples of talents you have, I felt like I couldn't really participate.

I've never been musically gifted, I have a few sisters that are good at playing the piano, but I could never pick it up. I used to ride horses and I was "ok" at it, but my best friend that I rode with was a lot more confident and to this day still rides and I believes now teaches others how to ride. My mom put me and two of my sisters through some dance classes, and I don't believe I was to great at that either. I also have a grandma that is very artistic and loves to paint and draw and is Very good at it... nope, I didn't get any of that in my genes either.

At this point in my life I think the things I am best at are loving my husband, loving my dog (because she loves me SO much I MUST be doing something right there), paying bills (even though I Hate it!), and now facebook. LOL. So you see I don't seem to have the most exceptional of "talents"......

Well I found this quote on one of my friend's blogs and now I'm stealing it for my own. ;) It made me feel a little better about my Talent{less}ness. Hopefully someday when the time comes for me to be a mom I will be Very talented at that, and bringing the spirit into our home, and at being a wonderful wife. (I do try Josh, and I love you so much!) (And I'll try to be a good wife BEFORE we have kids.... hehe)

"You may think you don't have talents, but that is a false assumption, for we all have talents and gifts, every one of us. The bounds of creativity extend far beyond the limits of a canvas or a sheet of paper and do not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano. Creation means bringing into existence something that did not exist before—colorful gardens, harmonious homes, family memories, flowing laughter.What you create doesn't have to be perfect. Don't let fear of failure discourage you. Don't let the voice of critics paralyze you—whether that voice comes from the outside or the inside. As you take the normal opportunities of your daily life and create something of beauty and helpfulness, you improve not only the world around you but also the world within you.I believe that as you create beauty and as you are compassionate to others—God will encircle you in the arms of His love. Discouragement, inadequacy, and weariness will give way to a life of meaning, grace, and fulfillment." - Deiter F. Uchtdorf
